La sua versatilità è testimoniata da una sterminata discografia, a firma di diversi monikers: Vatican Shadow è la migliore sintesi di queste molteplici identità, tra i richiami dei beat meccanici di Cold Cave e la libertà espressiva di Prurient.

Untitled (Fossil 290913), scultura sonora per nastro magnetico, è un intervento site-specific che scruta la relazione tra tempo spazio e suono attraverso un “fossile sonoro”: un semplice registratore a cassetta preparato, opportunamente installato all’interno di Spazio Aereo, registrerà l’intera serata, per tutta la sua durata.
Nico Vascellari propone a conclusione la sua personale conduzione e traslazione del corpo sonoro dell’evento, o meglio il suo riverberare, attraverso un’installazione performativa in equilibrio tra eco e memoria.

A live performance from the cult American artist Silent Servant, joined by compatriot Vatican Shadow and an installation by Nico Vascellari.
Juan Mendez a.k.a. Silent Servant is the most important musical personality in the American underground scene right now: his production leftism is a triumph of audiovisual development, with links to new wave & post-punk aesthetics.
Silent Servant switches and charms through continuous contrasts, gothic timbres of complex darkwave, and sharp and determined electronic atmospheres.
Dominic Fernow is Vatican Shadow, a dominant presence in the sphere of harsh noise and dark industrial techno. His versatility is proven by an ever-growing discography under a plethora of pseudonyms, but Vatican Shadow is his most prominent incarnation, recalling the essence of Cold Cave’s mechanical beats and the expressive freedom of his own Prurient alias.
Nico Vascellari’s Untitled (Fossil 290913), a sonic sculpture via the medium of magnetic tape, is an ‘in-house’ investigation into the relationship between time/space and sound through a ‘sound fossil’: a simple prepared tape-recorder, positioned inside Spazio Aero, which will record the whole evening.
As an overview to this very personal experiment, Nico Vascellari bids to translate the event’s body of sound, executed through an installation measuring echo and memory.
